Protect against espionage of other foreign intelligence threats,
including: terrorism directed against its personnel, information,
activities, facilities and technologies.

|
Provide briefings and debriefings for federal and contractor employees
conducting foreign travel.
|
|
|
Identify high-risk personnel and programs that they may become
targets of foreign or domestic intelligence gathering activities.
|
|
|
Conduct appropriate checks and other reviews required by DOE Orders
and Directives.
|
|
|
Conduct preliminary inquiries and administrative investigations
associated with counterintelligence concerns.
|
|
|
Liaison with local FBI and other U.S. Government Agencies.
|
|
|
Provide CI-Cyber support to deter, detect, investigate, and neutralize
foreign terrorists, or industrial sponsored intelligence activities
targeting DOE information assets.
|
|
|
Provide education and awareness training on a variety of CI topics.
|
|
|
Provide CI assistance, as appropriate, to the Chicago Office Manager,
Program Director, and other senior federal and contractor officials.
|
