DOE Seeks Public Input on Scope of Environmental Review for the Global Nuclear Energy Partnership
The U.S. Department of Energy's Chicago Office has announced that a public scoping meeting to begin the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the President's Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) will be Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticultural Center, 227 N. Gougar Road, Joliet, Illinois, from 6:00-9:30 p.m.
This is one of 12 meetings which will be held around the nation to evaluate potential GNEP sites.

Frankfort Resident Named Deputy Manager of Department of Energy Chicago Office
Argonne, IL - Frankfort resident Roxanne E. Purucker has been appointed Deputy Manager of the U.S. Department of Energy's Chicago Office. As part of her promotion, Purucker will also be appointed to the federal government's Senior Executive Service, effective January 7, 2007.
